Description

Georgetown and the Loop. Written by P.R. “Bob” Griswold, Richard H. Kindig, and Cynthia Trombly

Copyright 1988, First Edition, published by Rocky Mountain Railroad Club

Georgetown and the Loop is a different railroad history book. It is primarily a pictorial history of the “Old Loop” and the incredible rebuilding of the “New Loop.” The text is short and the material covered by the three authors overlaps a bit. The histories of the two towns in the Georgetown Loop are outlined in perhaps more detail than one might expect in a railroad story. The chapter written by R.H. Kindig is from the Pictorial Supplement to Denver South Park and Pacific published by the Rocky Mountain Railroad Club in 1959. The variety of sources of material make this book a unique history of just a few miles of narrow gauge railroad in Colorado’s memorable past and exciting present. Illustrated throughout with black & white photos, maps and diagrams. 254 pages

Hardcover book with dust jacket. Both are very good condition.
