Historic Newsletters and Minnegazettes

From 1962 until 1970 the Minnesota Transportation Museum published a series of occasional newsletters featuring museum news. From 1970 until 1981 this newsletter was typically bimonthly and became known as the Minnegazette. In 1981 the Minnegazette became a glossy bimonthly which began to include more historic photos and articles. Beginning in 1988 this transitioned to a quarterly publication. Aaron Isaacs became editor in 1990 when the magazine grew to a standard 32 pages with greatly increased photo and history content. Following the spinoff of the Minnesota Streetcar Museum from the Minnesota Transportation Museum in 2005 the Minnegazette became a jointly published history only publication and museum information was instead distributed through the Streetcar Currents. In 2007 Twin City Lines replaced the Minnegazette as a quarterly history magazine for members.

Scanned copies of the MTM Newsletters and Minnegazettes through the last joint issue in 2007 are linked to below. See our Publications and Books page for information on the replacement publication, Twin City Lines.
