The Cripple Creek Road is the story of The Midland Terminal Railroad. “The Midland” as it came to be called by those who knew it well, was first carried on the books as the “Cripple Creek Branch” in 1891, and fifty years later it was truly “The Cripple Creek Road,” the only railroad in the district.  In this book the author clarifies the relationship between the Colorado Midland and the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe and The Midland Terminal.
