Description
Need a special gift for a special person (who could be you)? How about a private, half-hour Motorman lesson aboard one of the Minnesota Streetcar Museum’s historic wooden cars. Under the tutelage of an experienced Museum member, you’ll be shown the operation of the Controller and the Brake Valve. You’ll learn how to operate safely. And you’ll experience the thrill of moving a 46-foot long, 42,000-pound streetcar along the right-of-way. Your friends and family can ride, too, and offer you encouragement and moral support.
The lesson may be scheduled any time during the our Operating Season, but not during regular scheduled service. The Motorman must be at least 18 years of age, have a valid driver’s license, and be physically able to board and operate the car.
